Bourbon and Branch

Bourbon & Branch

Bourbon & Branch is a glimpse back to the 1920s and the era of prohibition when the sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages was outlawed. Located in San Francisco, US, this establishment offers an authentic speakeasy experience. From 1921 to 1933, this location operated as an illegal speakeasy known as 'The Ipswitch - A Beverage Parlor' and later as 'JJ Russell's Cigar Shop'. The bar managed to evade Prohibition Agents and has a documented history dating back to 1867.

At Bourbon & Branch, guests are expected to follow a set of house rules to maintain the speakeasy atmosphere. These rules include no cell phone use, no standing at the bar, and no photography. The term 'speak easy' originated from the practice of discreetly ordering alcohol without raising suspicion.

The establishment offers handcrafted cocktails and a selection of spirits that are meticulously curated. With categories like Lighter Fare, Spirit Driven, and Ice Breakers, Bourbon & Branch ensures a unique and memorable drinking experience.
