Located within the Minneapolis American Indian Center, Gatherings Cafe is a mission-driven restaurant serving fresh, locally grown Indigenous foods prepared using ancestral knowledge and innovation. Reopened after renovations, the cafe aims to provide healthy, accessible meals to the community, led by Executive Chef Vernon DeFoe, a Red Cliff Anishinaabe with a passion for Indigenous food sovereignty. Through educational initiatives and catering services, Gatherings Cafe promotes cultural learning and offers a unique culinary experience.
