Glitter Bean Cafe Co-op is a queer-centric, unionized, and worker-owned co-op based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Founded as an alternative to unfair work environments, this cozy cafe is democratically governed by its majority queer and BIPOC workers. Offering specialty coffees, teas, baked treats, light fare, liquor service, catering, and venue rentals, Glitter Bean aims to provide a space that affirms the dignity and joy of diverse communities. Through their worker co-op model, members collectively contribute to all aspects of the cafe, fostering a values-based, heart-forward approach.
