The restaurant has a rich history dating back to the Interbellum period when Mario's parents ran a restaurant in Antwerp. Fleeing to Italy during WWII, Mario returned to Belgium post-war and embarked on his culinary journey.

With a passion for hospitality, Mario opened an authentic Italian restaurant on Kammenstraat. The tradition continued as his wife, Mimi, joined him, marking the beginning of a beloved Antwerp classic.

Following Mario's passing, his son Antonio took the reins, preserving the family tradition. Today, the second generation, including daughter Tatiana, upholds the legacy of preparing authentic Italian classics with love and dedication.
