The Olvera Street Merchants Association Foundation (OSMAF), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, aims to celebrate, promote, and preserve the historical significance of Olvera Street. Established over 80 years ago, OSMAF organizes a wide range of activities and traditional events to engage the community and international visitors. The mission of the Olvera Street Merchants Association Foundation is to celebrate, promote, and preserve an understanding and appreciation of the historical significance that Olvera Street has played in the formation of the diverse city of Los Angeles.
OUR HISTORY
OSMAF strives to preserve and promote the traditional, historical, cultural, and educational events that have been part of Olvera Street's heritage for over 80 years. While previously funded by the City Council of Los Angeles, recent changes have led OSMAF to seek support from individual donors, foundations, and corporate sponsors to continue hosting beautiful, traditional events that honor the history and culture of this iconic marketplace.
