The South Coast Environment Centre was founded in 1996, functioning as a hub for environmental activities in Riverton, New Zealand. Embracing a mission to promote sustainability, the Centre hosts a diverse range of programs including the preservation of heritage fruit trees, community food projects, seasonal celebrations, and education initiatives. Operating as the oldest continuously running Environment Centre in New Zealand, SCES collaborates with local groups and international organizations, serving as a beacon for environmental consciousness and action.
