Weingut Bahles - Kaub am Rhein

Weingut Bahles, located in Kaub am Rhein, Germany, is a renowned wine house and distillery with a rich heritage dating back to 1876. The winery, named 'Zur Pfalz' after the castle directly across the Rhine, was acquired by Johann Peter Bahles in 1912, marking the beginning of a family tradition in winemaking.

Today, Weingut Bahles cultivates approximately 3.5 hectares of vineyards, producing a diverse range of wines including Riesling, Spätburgunder, Müller-Thurgau, Ruländer, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, and Weißburgunder. The vineyards, situated in steep locations such as Blüchertal, Burg Gutenfels, Pfalzgrafenstein, and Rauschelay, yield grapes that are transformed into regionally typical wines known for their distinctive character.

Embracing modern viticultural practices and environmentally friendly methods, Weingut Bahles continues the legacy of crafting high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Mittelrhein region. As a proud member of the Mittelrhein Riesling Charta, the winery actively participates in initiatives that aim to strengthen collaboration among winemakers and enhance the appreciation of the region's wines.

In recognition of its commitment to excellence, the Mittelrhein Riesling Charta was honored by the German Wine Institute in 2022 for its significant contribution to the cultural heritage of winemaking. Visitors are invited to experience the distinct flavors of Weingut Bahles wines and explore the picturesque vineyards of Kaub am Rhein.
